Con la reforma a la Ley Minera en México se le dio el tiro de gracia a la intención de la empresa canadiense Organimax Nutient Corporation de explotar litio en Coahuila; tenía en trámite la cuarta concesión más grande del país con 303 mil hectáreas.

Senadores de las comisiones unidas de Minería y Desarrollo Regional y de Estudios Legislativos, aprobaron este martes la reforma a la Ley Minera que envió el presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador, la cual establece que el el litio es patrimonio de la Nación.
La votación en lo general y lo particular de lo no reservado fue de 298 a favor, cero en contra y 197 abstenciones, de todo el bloque opositor, mientras que con la única reserva aceptada, de Morena, se registraron 275 votos a favor, 24 en contra y 187 abstenciones.
