Southern Silver Exploration Corp. reported today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Minera Plata del Sur, S.A. de C.V., under the direction of Freeport-McMoRan Exploration Corporation, has completed an initial eight core hole, 3445 metre drill program on the company’s Cerro Las Minitas project located in Durango, Mexico. Freeport-McMoRan Exploration Corporation holds a right to acquire up to a 70% indirect interest in the project.

Excalibur Resources Ltd. is pleased to report the results of two mineralogical studies on stockpiled ore samples collected on the Company’s Catanava property in Pinos, Zacatecas State, Mexico. The studies were completed by Terra Mineralogical Services Inc., the purpose of which is to better understand the ore characteristics and to provide some expected gold and silver recovery estimates. The results of the study indicate that the gold and silver recoveries will be maximized through a combination of a moderate fine primary grind and flotation. The assay results from SGS Lakefield are shown in the following table.

Alamos Gold Inc. and Esperanza Resources Corp. are pleased to announce that they have entered into a definitive agreement pursuant to which Alamos has agreed to acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Esperanza by way of a court-approved plan of arrangement.

Santacruz Silver Mining Ltd. is pleased to announce the first results from an ongoing 25,000 m diamond drill program at its San Felipe project in Sonora State, Mexico. Drilling is primarily focused on the La Ventana, Las Lamas and Transversales group of veins. Results from the first six holes are reported below.

Orex Minerals Inc. is pleased to announce that the results from trench channel sampling along a 750 metres strike-length of Loma Verde and an 850 metres strike-length of Santo Niño structures have been received on the Coneto Gold-Silver Project in Durango, Mexico. A technical committee, with representation of Orex and its project partner Fresnillo plc, is managing the Coneto exploration program.

Levon Resources Ltd. is very pleased to announce that the Company has entered into an agreement to purchase a 100% interest in the Aida mining claim, located in a central part of the Cordero Project claim block. Acquisition of the Aida claim consolidates Levon’s 100% ownership of all mining claims in the Cordero mining district, and represents a significant step in the Company’s advancement of the Cordero Project. “We are very pleased that we were able to finalize a fair agreement on the Aida claim,” said Ron Tremblay, President and CEO of Levon.

Westminster Resources Ltd. has compiled results from five core holes drilled on the Montoso Target of the Company’s Cumbral-San Bartolo project in Sonora,Mexico. This portion of Westminster’s concessions is being explored through an earn-in Option Agreement with Capstone Mining Corp. who have 49% interest in the project having funded $3.3 million to date on exploration. A further contiguous 9,615 hectares of new mineral concessions have been added to the project.
