Prime Mining Corp. reports that results from new trenches and road cuts in the Company’s ongoing surface exploration program continue to show wide mineralized areas over the Guadalupe West deposit.

The RC drilling program at the Alacrán Project has been suspended with 36 holes completed for 3,604 meters. The best gold intersections include hole MDPC-143: 126.0m @ 2.0g/t Au from 1.5m; including 34.5m @ 3.9g/t Au.

Rehn, Golden’s President and Chief Executive Officer, notes, “We’ve purposely held onto the Rodeo project for several years, waiting for the right opportunity to monetize this asset by utilizing our existing infrastructure to process its gold and silver. With the Hecla lease coming to an end this year, we intend to bring Rodeo into production in 2021. This PEA indicates that Rodeo presents us with the opportunity to realize over $24 million of after-tax cash flow in two years’ time with very low capital requirements, which will in turn support our work at Velardeña and other exploration projects.”
The government’s decision to allow miners to operate again comes at a good time for the sector, according to some analysts. Gold prices have broken through critical resistance and are trading near fresh seven-year highs. June gold futures at last traded at $1,768.60 an ounce, up 0.41% on the day.
Bill Brodie Good, Technical Director, commented: “The highly successful IP survey carried out by highly experienced geophysical consultants has highlighted 2 robust and one slightly weaker magnetic anomaly, coincident with previous geophysical and rock chip sampling to date. The incorporation of promising results from IP, Gravity and Magnetic surveys has defined these anomalies.”
