GR Silver Mining Chairman and CEO, Eric Zaunscherb commented, “It is very exciting to see exploration concepts, like the potential for additional high grade precious metal mineralization extending to the SE of San Marcial, come to fruition. Recent results not only demonstrate this potential but also the potential for targeted infill drilling to capture the presence of near-surface, high-grade Ag and Au zones in the upcoming NI 43-101 update. Ongoing drilling is certainly proving the importance of understanding the structural controls on high-grade mineralization, with mounting anticipation of new discoveries as the geological onion is peeled.”

“Drilling by Zacatecas has only tested small areas of the overall vein system to very shallow depths. That the first thirteen holes intersected a robust silver-equivalent grades over down-hole intercept of up to 9.56 meters is very encouraging. The system is open in all directions across multiple veins.”

“The discovery of multiple, previously unknown, high-grade gold-silver structures, particularly the Camila vein, demonstrates that there is also significant potential at Yoquivo to discover additional high-grade structures on the property. The current drill program is expected to allow us to report an initial gold-silver resource on the property later this year,” said Warren Rehn, President and Chief Executive Officer of Golden Minerals.

“Sonora is well known for cost-effective mines that can operate open pits with grades below 0.5 g/t Au with very favourable production costs. Seeing this broad low-grade mineralization and higher-grade within gives us a lot of confidence in the potential we have here.”

“Our continued drilling program at El Favor East shows additional positive results. Our program is also focussing on Gran Cabrera in the northerly section of Los Ricos North, and we expect to provide an update on that shortly,” said Brad Langille, President and CEO. “In addition to our drilling, we continue to work on consolidation of additional ground in Los Ricos South and expect to have an update on this in the coming weeks.”
