“We are pleased with this first set of results from the second phase of drilling at Yoquivo. Hole two demonstrates the potential for the Pertenencia vein to host significant high-grade mineralization, and we’re also excited about hole four which hit multiple high-grade veins suggesting there may be additional blind veins to be found on the property.”
The primary objectives of the 2021 – 2022 exploration program are to better define the open pit, heap leach gold potential of the porphyry oxide cap at California, evaluate the potential for deeper copper-gold porphyry sulfide mineralization underlying the oxide cap, test for north and west extensions of the California mineralization at California North and Jasper, and assess the breccia pipe potential of Purisima East.

Rob Macdonald, Vice President Exploration, stated: “The identification of a new high-grade zone continues to highlight the enhanced exploration potential surrounding the known mineral deposits at Cerro Las Minitas. Drilling will continue on the property through early 2022, starting with follow-up drilling on the El Sol concession before transitioning back to the North Felsite target, while the company continues work on a Preliminary Economic Assessment of the known Mineral Deposits to be completed Q2-2022.”
Silver Tiger’s CEO, Glenn Jessome, stated, “Hole 287 delivered high grade mineralization in the black shale horizon 175 meters north of Discovery Hole 202 and a full 75 meters north of where historic mining ended on the Sooy Vein. Drill intercepts on the Sooy, El Tigre and Seitz Kelley Veins continue to pierce quartz veins in the black shale horizon that hosts high grade silver and gold mineralization. Our understanding of these 2 geological units and how they control high grade mineralization allows our drilling to be more focused and predictive.”

“We are very excited about the potential hole 21-CARC-29 has created for the Peñoles Project, as it identified silver-polymetallic mineralization similar to what we’ve seen in the 2013-2014 drill data at the Jesus María Silver deposit. We now believe this style of mineralization has the potential to be expanded underneath the Capitan Hill oxide gold zone.”
The Company has planned a four to five-month exploration program that will include comprehensive mapping and extensive sampling of the concession to define drill targets. A LIDAR survey to obtain detailed topography and identify historic mine prospects and structural trends is also planned for the near future.
The LWIR satellite data and initial interpretation is being conducted by DIRT Exploration of Cape Town, South Africa. LWIR analysis, through proprietary processing of satellite data, has the ability to map or identify, through reflectance spectroscopy against a set of known standards, mineral distribution over large areas covered by vegetation and shallow cover.
Rick Trotman, President and CEO of Barksdale commented, “The drill results continue to demonstrate that the Cerro Verde zone has significant shallow copper mineralization. The final results from the drilling program, which are primarily step-out holes to the west and south, are expected to be released within the next few weeks, at which point we can complete our resource estimation for Cerro Verde.”
