La construcción del proyecto Juanicipio, iniciará después de ser aprobado por el Consejo de Administración, se pretende arrancar en los próximos dos a tres meses.

“Project Fenix shows that El Gallo has the potential to be retooled to produce silver and gold for years into the future. The current heap leach gold mine would transform first to a mill and process the residual heap leach pad material, then additional mill modifications would enable processing of silver and gold ores from four other deposits. This plan depends on innovative in-pit tailings disposal that we think is a win-win for all stakeholders. Over the coming quarters we intend to advance environmental permitting and refine our plans with a feasibility study before making an investment decision next year,” said Rob McEwen, Chairman and Chief Owner

The main La Esperanza vein, where the recent and current drill programs have been focused, demonstrates signs of a strong mineralized system and has consistently returned wide high-grade intercepts from drilling to date. This vein has only been tested over a limited zone along the potential strike of the vein at a relatively high level in the system. There should be excellent opportunities for expanding the mineralized envelope along strike and to depth.”

Our mapping and sampling program is progressing well and we continue to be on pace to have drill-ready targets in Q3.”

When we commenced pre-production activities in October 2017, we provided guidance that we expected to declare commercial production in Q3, 2018. “These results clearly indicate that high grade silver vein mineralization, and also silver bearing breccia geology, is evidenced along the full 3 km strike extent of the San Javier structure and the San Javier mineralized corridor. This is very encouraging for geological prospects and vein continuity along trend in the northeasterly direction, and suggests potential for a robust high-grade and vein hosted mineral endowment.” Stated Hub Mockler.
