SilverCrest Confirms Underground High Grades at Santa Elena; 13m @ 2.54 gpt Au and 307.0 gpt Ag; Including 0.7m @ 18.25 gpt Au and 2,900 gpt Ag

SilverCrest Mines Inc. is pleased to announce results of underground infill drilling completed in July, 2014 at its 100% owned Santa Elena Mine in Sonora, Mexico. Twenty five closely-spaced underground drill holes, totaling 2,856 metres were completed to better define reserves and verify widths and grades for planned production stopes. The results of all holes included in this news release will be part of the resource update scheduled to be completed by early 2015.

U.S. Antimony Reports Natural Gas and Increasing Output from Mexican Smelter

United States Antimony Corporation reported that natural gas had been turned on at its Mexican Madero Smelter. Natural gas will be approximately seventy percent lower than the cost of propane, and it is expected to significantly increase the gross margin. The Company is also adding four more furnaces that will increase smelter output by 50% and start reducing the inventory of smelter feed. Presently, the smelter is shipping antimony metal of a very high grade similar to Chinese Grade 1. All production is in a sold out status.

Goldcorp reports pit wall instability at El Sauzal mine

GOLDCORP INC. today announced that its El Sauzal mine in Chihuahua, Mexico is experiencing movement in the highwall slope of the Trini pit. As a safety precaution, mining operations have been suspended until a geotechnical survey team can assess the potential impact of the instability on the mine’s operation. The current year represents the final year of El Sauzal’s active mine life, with 100,000 to 105,000 ounces of gold production expected in 2014. As of August 28, 2014 approximately 37,000 ounces of gold have been produced.

VVC Signs $4 Million Loan Agreement and Announces Proposed Timeline for Samalayuca Copper Project Pilot Mining Production

VVC Exploration Corporation is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Camex Mining Development Group Inc. has signed a loan agreement with Aeris Trading Corp. for a loan of up to US$4 million which was previously announced by press release dated August 11, 2014. The loan agreement has been conditional accepted for filing by the TSX Venture Exchange. The loan will provide funds for the completion of the permit and mine planning process on the Samalayuca Copper project in Northern Chihuahua Mexico which is 33.75% owned by VVC. Once the planned pilot mine is operating, the loan will be repaid from the proceeds of VVC’s share of the Samalayuca mining revenue.

Grupo México aseguró este lunes que su mina Buenavista del Cobre opera con normalidad luego de que autoridades hicieran el viernes un cateo en sus oficinas, en medio de una investigación por un derrame de 40 mil metros cúbicos de sulfato de cobre en los rios Bacanuchi y Sonora.
