J.D. Poliquin, chairman of Almaden stated, “Today’s results once again show the presence of the high grade veins on the Tuligtic project. While we are now focussed on developing the Ixtaca deposit into a significant precious metals producer in Mexico, and are currently busy with engineering work and studies towards producing a PFS, we are also conducting exploration drilling to test for additional resource potential.”

A new tailings storage facility is necessary to allow the existing TSF to be decommissioned, which will enable Avino to begin assessing the upper sulphide bench as well as the lower oxide bench in areas that are currently being used to store tailings from our active operations.

Kootenay President and CEO James McDonald, stated, “We are excited to start our drill program at La Cigarra, which will begin with the first ever drill test of the high-grade RAM silver target. The primary objectives of the program are to test this high priority target and to expand the existing La Cigarra resource which is open in three directions with particular attention to intercepting higher-grade silver. These are the first steps toward a new resource estimate and to proceeding with a Preliminary Economic Assessment on the project.”

Southern Silver Exploration Corp. reported today 2016 drilling on its Cerro las Minitas project has successfully identified a new mineralized extension on the project and continues to demonstrate the continuity of contact skarn around the margin of the central intrusion each of which could significantly expand the overall size of the project.

Almadex Chairman, J. Duane Poliquin commented, “These results now show the potential of the El Cobre project to host a significant gold-rich porphyry system. The Norte zone is one of four well defined porphyry centres within a very large zone of porphyry related alteration. We look forward to following up this exciting intercept with a drill program focused on the goal of defining a new gold-copper resource in Mexico.”

Mexus Gold US announced that a series of blasts were completed at the Santa Elena mine with successful fragmentation. The initial blasts resulted in 60,000 tons of ore with grades ranging from 1 to 3 grams per ton. Marco Martinez, President of MarMar holdings, stated that this material is now ready to be moved to the heap leach pad. In addition, Mr. Martinez stated that the geomembrane heap leach pad is nearly complete with the anchoring of the liner remaining. The electro winning gold recovery equipment is currently being assembled in Monterrey, Mexico. The equipment should be ready by the time the first 1 meter lift is completed on the heap leach pad.

These first results have exceeded our expectations and appear to confirm that historic mining completed in the early 1900’s has left behind substantial unexplored, unmined and easily accessible high grade mineralization. Until now, we have only been guided by what we could access from the estimated 11.5 kilometres of historic underground workings with approximate mined widths of 1 to 3 metres. Our drilling adjacent to historic workings now suggests that 1 to 3 metres may be the minimum widths of the Las Chispas vein. By combining our recent underground sampling and new drill results for the first of several veins to be explored, we have begun to discover the hidden potential of this district-wide play. This news release is the first of a series of releases on Phase I drill results and other activities to be announced over the next several weeks.”
