Underground workings, apparently 90 — 100 years old have been accessed, however most areas of previous mining activity have collapsed. At the end of one short inclined shaft, geologists were able to sample the mineralized structure (massive hematite with malachite and chrysocolla) approximately 70m below surface that was not mined in the past.
