Highlights from the rock sampling program are:

North Guyacan : 12.1 g/t gold and 16.8 g/t silver
Red Soil and SGH soil geochemical target : 11.3 g/t gold and 212.0 g/t silver
Middle Guyacan : 9.2 g/t gold and 9.9 g/t silver
South Guyacan : 675 ppb gold and 126 g/t silver and 2.5 % copper
South Guyacan-Far east : 18.0 g/t gold and 400 g/t silver

Boleo First Copper Shipment and Funding Update

Baja Mining Corp. reports that further to its news release dated July 2, 2015, it has received confirmation from Minera y Metalúrgica del Boleo, S.A. P.I. de C.V. that the Boleo Project completed its first shipment of copper. On July 12, 2015, MMB shipped 1,919 tonnes of electrolytic copper cathodes from its marine terminal at Boleo.

Primero Provides Exploration Update; Expects to Replace Full-Year Production With Drilling From First Half of 2015

Primero Mining Corp. today provided an update on its recent exploration activities at the Black Fox Complex, located near Timmins, Ontario, Canada, and at the San Dimas mine located in Durango, Mexico. Based on the success of its exploration activities to date, the Company expects to replace its estimated full-year production with the results of exploration drilling from the first half of 2015. Additionally, the Company has approved US$6.1 million in capital expenditures to advance a ramp to access the Deep Central Zone at Black Fox.

Deep-sea Mining Regulations Need Stronger Environmental Protections

Scientists and conservationists are calling on the International Seabed Authority, now meeting in Jamaica, to adopt stronger-than-proposed protections for wildlife and oceans in setting environmental standards for deep-sea mining projects. The Center for Biological Diversity, which recently sued the United States government for issuing deep-sea mining permits that circumvent the ISA’s nascent environmental review process, warns that the current push to start strip-mining the ocean floor could do irreparable damage to marine life.

Golden Minerals Leases Oxide Plant To Hecla

Golden Minerals Company announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Minera William S.A. de C.V., owner of the Velardena Properties in Durango State, Mexico, has entered into a lease agreement with Minera Hecla, S.A. de C.V., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hecla Mining Company.
