“Holes 56 and 61 are the deepest holes drilled to date at Los Ricos, and shows the project continues to be open at depth with strong mineralization. We still see a broader mineralized zone of over 20 metres at these depths which may be amenable to deeper bulk mining and also shows a high-grade core within these broader zones which may represent underground mining targets,” said Brad Langille, President and CEO.
Kootenay President and CEO James McDonald states, “These results continue to show excellent resource potential at Columba with all holes reporting good silver mineralization. We are now seeing silver in widespread stockwork/breccia zones which we believe may coalesce into high grade ‘feeder’ veins a little deeper than tested.”
Numerous exceptional native silver specimens have recently been recovered by miners in the Guadalupe Mine between levels 15 and 30 in an area on the main Lipton vein named the Jewelry Shop.
Observations made during the study have identified 7 exploration targets of interest within the two areas thus far. Upon receipt of the geochemical sample results from the program Colibri will determine next steps of the program which will include drilling and a possible geophysics program.
