At Plata Verde, Radius geologists re-discovered an undocumented large scale underground bulk mining operation where in the late 1800’s, historic miners hand excavated an extensive series of anastomosing caverns, producing silver bars at an associated smelter operation.

GR Silver Mining President and CEO, Marcio Fonseca, commented, “The mineralized veins and hydrothermal breccias at the Plomosas Mine Area were originally interpreted to be confined only along the major Plomosas Fault, however our recent validation and integration of all drill results, underground structural mapping and sampling, supports the occurrence of additional mineralized veins outside of that major structure.

Golden Minerals Company announced today that it has signed a letter of intent with Fabled Copper Corp. for a transaction that, if executed, would grant Fabled the option to acquire a 100% interest in Golden’s Santa Maria silver-gold project located in Chihuahua State, Mexico.

Planning for the gold exploration program has continued with desktop studies which have established targets and defined a Scope of Work for immediate commencement of field mapping, sampling and drilling in the current field season.
