N. This approach has allowed us to see better productivity than anticipated and limited disruption in our work schedules and supply chains.”

The 27,000-meter CLG definition drilling campaign continues to define further mineralization both on the southeast and northwest extensions of the deposit beyond the present reserve blocks. Since the definition drilling program began in late 2020, 36 and 14 holes have been completed in the SE and NW zones, respectively.

Drilling in the NE Extension was successful in extending the strike length of high-grade mineralization by approximately 100 m.”

The Aztec-Kootenay JV has approved a Phase 2, 22-hole, 5,000 m reverse circulation drill program to commence in the 4th quarter, 2021 subject to available funds. Four main targets will be tested. The primary objectives of the 2021 exploration program are to better define the open pit, heap leach gold potential of the porphyry oxide cap at California, evaluate the potential for deeper copper-gold porphyry sulfide mineralization underlying the oxide cap, test for north and west extensions of the California mineralization at California North and Jasper, and assess the breccia potential of Purisima East.

The first seven drill holes were completed on June 14th and the Company is anticipating the final results of gold, silver and multi-element analyses by mid-August. The remaining thirteen holes were drilled with two RC rigs from Layne de Mexico and completed as scheduled on July 28th.
