Defiance Silver Corp. is pleased to announce that it has recommenced drilling at the company’s Zacatecas project in Mexico.

Kootenay Silver Inc. is pleased to announce that Aztec Minerals Corp. has reported that the Aztec / Kootenay Joint Venture has completed the first 14 holes totaling 2,810.6 metres of the current 5,000 m, 22-hole Phase 2 reverse circulation drill program at the Cervantes Property located in Sonora State, Mexico.

“The results from the second 2021 drill program on the Candy vein at Nora are consistent with previous drill holes with high gold and silver grades from multiple mineralized bands within a wide altered structure. The Candy vein structure remains open for expansion along strike and to depth, and with additional strong widespread geochemical anomalies still to be tested throughout the project area at Nora suggest the potential for a significant gold-silver mineralized system.”

“We are pleased with this first set of results from the second phase of drilling at Yoquivo. Hole two demonstrates the potential for the Pertenencia vein to host significant high-grade mineralization, and we’re also excited about hole four which hit multiple high-grade veins suggesting there may be additional blind veins to be found on the property.”

The primary objectives of the 2021 – 2022 exploration program are to better define the open pit, heap leach gold potential of the porphyry oxide cap at California, evaluate the potential for deeper copper-gold porphyry sulfide mineralization underlying the oxide cap, test for north and west extensions of the California mineralization at California North and Jasper, and assess the breccia pipe potential of Purisima East.

Rob Macdonald, Vice President Exploration, stated: “The identification of a new high-grade zone continues to highlight the enhanced exploration potential surrounding the known mineral deposits at Cerro Las Minitas. Drilling will continue on the property through early 2022, starting with follow-up drilling on the El Sol concession before transitioning back to the North Felsite target, while the company continues work on a Preliminary Economic Assessment of the known Mineral Deposits to be completed Q2-2022.”

Silver Tiger’s CEO, Glenn Jessome, stated, “Hole 287 delivered high grade mineralization in the black shale horizon 175 meters north of Discovery Hole 202 and a full 75 meters north of where historic mining ended on the Sooy Vein. Drill intercepts on the Sooy, El Tigre and Seitz Kelley Veins continue to pierce quartz veins in the black shale horizon that hosts high grade silver and gold mineralization. Our understanding of these 2 geological units and how they control high grade mineralization allows our drilling to be more focused and predictive.”
