Drilling is starting at the Shear zone at Big Pit within the Main Zone with 6 planned holes; then will move down to Pique Viejo for 3 holes focused on the steep-dipping high-grade quartz veining recently identified in sampling, including drilling a steeply dipping vein where a channel sample returned 93.9 g/t gold.

Eight diamond drill holes (Z21-14, Z21-38 to 41, Z21-43, 44 and 46) were drilled with IMPACT’s man portable rig to test the mineralization below and to the south of the operating open pit for a total of 1221 meters.
Benjamin Hill Mining Corp. has completed three diamond drill holes on the Sonora Gold project. This inaugural drill campaign consists of 34 exploration drill holes spread over four mineralized areas (Sonora Copper, El Fierro, Caracahui, La Salada). The goal of the inaugural program is to intercept and delimit mineralized structures, to better define alteration footprints and to explore for the source of mineralization.
Southern Empire reports, “Drilling is progressing well, with 3 holes totalling 421 metres completed and a fourth hole, which targets an Induced Polarization (IP) geophysical anomaly where strongly oxidized, hematitic volcanic cover rocks have been mapped has started.”
“Planned definition hole SM20-50 was not only designed to fill in a drill poor gap in the past resource area and to follow the down dip mineralized plunge intercepted in drill hole SM20-47, 48 and 49, all of which reported broad zones of silver and gold bearing hydrothermal breccias with numerous higher-grade intercepts within, but also to vector in on the developing high-grade hydrothermal gold domain.”
“With these high grades and widths at depth as shown in holes 107 and 109, we have the opportunity to quickly increase the mineral resource by simply drilling the zone up to surface. 2022 will be another year of aggressive resource expansion in the Los Ricos district.”
“We have now defined a 1.2 km corridor of Au-Ag mineralization at Pilar, half of which has seen no drilling. We plan to test these target areas with systematic drilling during the Phase III drill program currently underway.”
