MEXICAN GOLD CORP. is pleased to announce that it intends to complete a non-brokered private placement of up to $1,000,000 at a price of $0.30 per unit with a small group of investors. The Company may, in its sole discretion increase the size of the Private Placement by up to 25% for aggregate gross proceeds of up to $1,250,000 at the price of $0.30 per Unit at any time prior to the closing of the Private Placement.

Aztec Minerals Corp. recently participated in a Mexican government land lottery and was awarded two new mineral concessions covering approximately 3,149 hectares adjacent to the Cervantes property in Sonora, Mexico. Combined with the 500 hectares currently under option from Kootenay Silver, Aztecs land position at Cervantes has now expanded more than six fold to 3,649 hectares.

The Company exceeded its annual production guidance for a second consecutive year with 24,385 ounces of gold and 77,082 ounces of silver produced during the fourth quarter and 139,658 ounces of gold and 357,901 ounces of silver produced for the full year. Metal sales were 23,000 of gold and 77,096 ounces of silver for the fourth quarter and 155,727 ounces of gold and 338,831 ounces of silver for the full year.

The Mexican Superior Court issued a unanimous ruling this week in favour of Nasdaq-listed Odyssey Marine Explorations subsidiary Exploraciones Oceánicas (ExO), which overturned a previous denial of ExOs environmental permit application to extract phosphate sand from its Don Diego project, in the Bay of Ulloa.
Carlos Silva, Santacruz’s COO stated “I commend our Technical Team for achieving this significant milestone ahead of schedule. This new increased milling capacity will allow us to shortly achieve positive cash flow at the Veta Grande operations.” Mr. Silva continued; “Our exploration programs will keep advancing to establish and increase our mineral resources with the eventual plan to further expand mill capacity at this historical silver rich mining district of Veta Grande”.
