Royal Gold has announced a $3.7 billion deal to acquire Sandstorm Gold and Horizon Copper. The move adds 40 producing assets and strengthens Royal Gold’s position in North America’s precious metals market. Sandstorm shareholders will own 23% of the merged entity.
