TORONTO, Ontario, July 11, 2012 — Torex Gold Resources Inc. (the “Company” or “Torex”) (TSX:TXG) is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary in Mexico, Minera Media Luna S.A. de C.V., has signed a five-year exploration access agreement with the Puente Sur Balsas Ejido, for all of the Ejido common use lands. This agreement includes access to the majority of the area of the new discovery at Media Luna, which was announced by the Company last month.

Fred Stanford, President & CEO of Torex stated: “We are very pleased to continue the productive and respectful relationship between the Company and the Ejido, and that the members of the Ejido voted unanimously in favour of this new agreement. The five year agreement, as opposed to the previous one-year contracts, will facilitate the execution of the aggressive exploration program in the highly prospective areas south of the Balsas River. Four rigs are currently drilling at the Media Luna discovery and additional drills are being sourced for the Media Luna West and Todos Santos targets, to further test the magnetic anomalies within the Puente Sur Balsas Ejido.”
