Defiance Silver Corp. (the “Company”), announces that it has closed the first tranche of its private placement announced on July 11, 2013, and has issued an aggregate 2,150,000 Units at $0.10 per Unit for gross proceeds of $215,000. Each Unit is comprised of one common share and one-half of one transferable share purchase warrant (“Warrant”), each whole Warrant entitling the holders to acquire one additional common share for a period of 24 months at an exercise price of $0.15 per share if exercised during the first year and thereafter at a price of $0.20 per share.

All of the securities issued under the private placement, including the Warrants and all of the common shares issuable upon exercise of the Warrants, are subject to statutory and TSX Venture Exchange imposed resale restrictions expiring on November 19, 2013.

Management and insiders which included IMPACT Silver Corp, subscribed for $100,500 of the private placement.
