TORONTO, ONTARIO, Aug 16, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) — Bold Ventures Inc. /quotes/zigman/1509137CA:BOL0.00% (the “Company”) regrets to announce the passing of its well-known director Jerry Bulman at the age of 69.

Jerry was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in November of last year. He faced this illness head on and without complaint and carried on with his overwhelming and exceptionally positive attitude, sense of humour and unique caring qualities.

Jerry loved the resource sector and made many, many friends along the way. Whether taking on large infrastructure projects, grass roots exploration, or providing financial support to early stage endeavours, Jerry’s go forward attitude was effective and he always got the job done. Based in Calgary, Jerry founded and directed Park Valley Ltd. For the past forty years this company provided resource management services to the oil, gas and mineral exploration sector.

As a long-time director of BOLD VENTURES, Jerry’s contributions to the company were appreciated by both management and shareholders alike. His enthusiastic encouragement and support provided and developed interactions that will continue to resonate and be a fabric of this company.

On behalf of the board and shareholders Dick Nemis stated “It was a pleasure to have known Jerry for so many years. No matter when, if you asked him how he was doing he would reply, “Nearly perfect”. Jerry was always up for a challenge despite the obstacles in business or his personal life.”

We all reach out to Jerry’s family and friends with our sincere regards and condolences.

A funeral service is planned for the week of August 26th in Calgary. Those wishing more information are welcome to contact our office for details.

Richard E. Nemis, President and Chief Executive Officer
