Chihuahua. – In order to prevent criminal acts from prevailing in the municipality of Guadalupe and Calvo, local authorities requested the installation of a C-4 and the integration of detachments of the State Police in Baborigame and San Julián, areas that have historically been controlled by Organized crime.

Just last week, three men working in a company contracting to the San Julián mine, operated by the mining company Fresnillo PLC, were deprived of their freedom and subsequently found murdered in the style of organized crime.

This past weekend, in the town of San Juan Nepomuceno, three men died after being shot dead after arguing over a lady.

In Baborigame, a few weeks earlier, it is reported that an armed group working for organized crime killed two men and set fire to several properties, without police authorities being able to intervene, due to the remoteness of that village.

Last weekend police authorities of the different levels and the Mexican Army held a meeting in the municipal capital to analyze security strategies.

The interinstitutional meeting was chaired by the director of the Single State Police Oscar Aparicio Avendaño, Mayor Noé Chavez, as well as the commanders of the 5th Military Zone, General Xiconténcatl of Azolohua Núñez Márquez, and 42, General Antonio García Escalante .

In the event, the participants presented ideas for coordination for the fight against drug trafficking and the crimes that it generates. Aparicio Avendaño considered it important to evaluate the local police as a first step to improve the situation in the region.

They agreed upon more military presence

On the other hand, the municipal president asked for support to reinforce the security mainly in the communities previously mentioned, where the constant presence of armed individuals who charge "illegal dues" is denounced, for which it was agreed to provide more elements from the Secretary of National Defense.

The agreements were not just police strategies, as they also entailed the activation of Crime Prevention programs, with actions focused on the industrial, commercial, general population and the rescue of values ??in the new generations.

They announced that the First Crime Prevention Week 2017 will be held in March, and will complement the activities with a series of shows, such as the presentation of the Sedena Symphony comprised of 120 musicians.

In addition there will be exhibitions of the Prosecutor's Office such as the road squad and the special K9 group, among others.
